New World Creator Program Guidelines
Thank you for showing interest and a desire to create New World content! We value the work that Content Creators do for the community and our mission for the Creator Program is to support and empower you in your quest to deliver high-quality content to your audience. Your participation will also help us generate excitement for the game that we hope the community enjoys as much as we do.
This program offers Creators potential access to special benefits – such as promotional giveaway codes, early access to unreleased game content, a direct line of communication with the New World team, physical goods, and invites to private parties and events – at no cost.
However, if you elect to participate in the program, you must agree to follow the rules below.
Amazon Games Code of Conduct and Content Usage Policy. New World strives to empower positive members of the gaming community. That’s why you and your content must meet (and we expect you to exceed) the behavior standards described in our Code of Conduct and Content Usage Policy, as well as any behavior standards or similar policies posted by the platforms you create content on, such as Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
Audience Giveaways. At times we may send you promotional keys (or codes) for you to give away to your community. If you choose to give away these keys, the following restrictions apply. The promotional keys we provide you are for your audience only. You may not sell keys or provide them to any third party as a prize for a giveaway that is not conducted by you for your community. Please note that your giveaway must also comply with all applicable laws regarding sweepstakes or raffles.
Tell the Audience You’re “Supported by Amazon Games” (it’s the law)
Being honest with your community is really important. U.S. and int’l law require you to tell your audience that you are part of the Creator Program and you are receiving benefits from the New World team. If you don’t follow these rules the Federal Trade Commission may fine you and Amazon Games, and we may need to terminate your participation in the Program – all of us need to take this seriously. Here’s what to do to make it clear to your audience that you have a relationship with us:
We may provide you additional disclosure requirements during your time in the Program.
For more information on this disclosure requirement, please read and familiarize yourself with the FTC’s Disclosures Guidance for Online Influencers.
You agree that you are responsible for all content on your channel, and Amazon Games is not responsible for any content on your channel or your conduct. At times, we may amplify (e.g., retweet, promote, or boost) the content you create to promote New World. When possible, we will include the original channel post/link to give you credit.
At times, the New World team may give you access to unreleased game content or discuss upcoming products or features with you. This access is a privilege and should be respected. Please treat any non-public information made available to you in relation to New World, the Creator Program, or Amazon Games generally as confidential unless explicitly told otherwise by a member of the New World team in writing.
Relationship with Amazon Games
Benefits provided to you should not be confused with employment by Amazon. You are not an employee of Amazon and remain an independent content creator; however, as noted above, you must clearly identify yourself as a New World Creator. If required, you agree that you will provide to us any tax reporting or similar information requested.
Removal from the Program & Revoked Support
Program support is subject to change without notice. We also reserve the right to make changes to these Program rules as our game and community evolves.
